It has recently (2026-06-07) come out that AvidMc was incredibly manipulative of members of Skyblock Kingdoms, a SMP server they participated in. AvidMc was the creator of the ‘Avid Adventures’ Minecraft Adventure Map, which I played in the past. In fact, I paid for their Patreon1 back then to get access to it.

Why is this relevant to me?

When playing this adventure map, I thought it would be neat if there were custom textures for certain custom items in the game, which is why I created the Avid Adventures Resource Pack. This pack changed the texture and model of some items in the adventure map. I poured hours into making these textures and models, even despite the admittedly poor quality of some of them.

At some point, I also participated in ‘Avid’s Community Challenge’, a map-making competition. I spent about a month developing an adventure map, which I then also posted here.

After a while, Avid stated that they were making a departure from this adventure map content, instead pivoting to SMPs. They participated in servers such as Skyblock Kingdoms, Misadventures, and many more that I don’t exactly remember. And that is because I basically stopped watching their content.

To be clear, I don’t hate SMP content. I actually watch a lot of it, but that wasn’t what I liked about Avid’s content. They made great adventure map content, not great SMP content. So I basically stopped watching their videos and drifted further away from their community as the Resource Pack was left unmaintained and abandoned.

What Happened?

I did make attempts to return to their community, but just found that the content they were producing was not for me. So I practically only checked their announcements channel when they pinged everyone in their Discord server, which is the first thing I saw about the situation.

They posted in their announcements channel that they would be leaving content creation and moving to avoid the ‘hate’. I wasn’t really aware of any hate towards them, so I had a look around and noticed something from their friend, LeonSBU’s Discord. He had announced that he would be cutting all ties with Avid.

From what the Skyblock Kingdoms members had discovered over TwitchCon, Avid and their friend Marma1ade, are ‘toxic, lying, manipulative abusers’. So far, what they have actually done has not come out, but supposedly they were manipulating everyone on the server.

What am I doing?

I don’t know if what truly was discussed over TwitchCon will ever come out, but what I do know is that I wish to support Avid no more. I have already placed disclaimers on the page of both the Avid Adventures Resource Pack and my ACC4 submission linking here, and I am working to remove all links to Avid’s channel. I also will be privating the redundant GitHub repository for the Resource Pack, as the archive is still available on this site.

To conclude this incredibly rushed blog post, I’d just like to say sorry. Sorry to those who donated to Avid, sorry to those who made fan art, sorry to those who might have found their content from my little corner of the internet, and sorry to those who were waiting for Avid Adventures to release, since it’s obvious that will never happen.

that is all

  1. I actually paid for their Discord Server Subscription, but it had the same benefits as their Patreon.
