It’s been a while, but I’m back with some updates.
YouTube video
I have finally, after 4 years of procrastination, uploaded a YouTube video. It covers my recent playthrough of the postgame of Splatoon Raiders on stream. You can watch it here:
Changes to Stance on Generative AI
Anyway, self promotion over, here’s what I am actually here to talk about.
I have made some changes to my Stance on Generative AI, mainly updating my points to be more adamently against the use of Generative AI, and to change how I disclose Generative AI.
What’s changing
The wording of my stance: I have reworded my stance to make it much more clear that I dislike Generative AI and directly oppose its use, also stating that it is impossible to avoid in some scenarios, which is why the disclosure system is in place.
How I disclose Generative AI: I’ll be more obvious with how I disclose use of Generative AI (which I have not had to do yet) and where I state that it hasn’t been used.
In fact, every page on this site now has a disclaimer stating that I have not used Generative AI. While I do intend on changing this on pages that do use Generative AI, currently none of those exist so this disclaimer always states that none was used.
Use of links in YouTube disclosures: For the time being, YouTube disclosures will no longer include links to my Stance on Generative AI, because I don’t have enough of a ‘channel history’ to include links to my own website in video descriptions. As soon as I am allowed to use links, this change will be reverted.
What’s not changing
My actual stance on Generative AI. I still believe that it should be avoided as much as possible, and I will always strive to avoid its use.
Additional Site Updates
A few updates have been applied and some comments-related visual bugs have been squashed.
Also, I’m still working on new features, but I have been a bit distracted by streaming and making videos. More site updates are to come… hopefully.
Anyway, I’m going to get back to streaming Splatoon Raiders speedruns and trying to beat Super Mario Bros. in under an hour.
that is all
